On Saturday evening, June 25th, FAWN held its 9th annual baseball fundraiser. For the first time, however, it was held at the Jimmy Johns Field in Utica, MI featuring the 2021 United Shore League Professional Champions, Utica Unicorns vs Eastside Beavers.
It turned out to be a fun evening for all those who attended to support a great cause and watch a rematch of these 2021 top United Shore League contenders. Exciting Baseball! This league has produced 45 players who went on to the majors!
We had over 60 supporters coming from the Wayne County Pharmacy Association, the Oakland County Pharmacists Association, World Medical Relief, Cabrini Clinic, St John Armenian Church, as well as FAWN Pharmacy Students and other students and faculty from Wayne State University Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy. Jimmy Johns Field was most accommodating to our group with excellent Grandstand Seating –the seats were great. Access to the seats was simple and easy. Parking was free. Tickets were only $30.00 and include free a hot dog, chips, and soda drinks or beer! The profit on each Ticket went to support FAWN.
Attendees and donors alike can be assured that, in addition to a great time, the donation they made will help bring liquid nutrition to victims of AIDS and other tragic illnesses and circumstances around the world.
We just want to thank all who supported us to make our FAWN Baseball fundraiser a success and especially the Wayne County Pharmacists Association and the Jimmy John’s Field Organization. We are already looking forward to next year’s event with great anticipation.
